One thing i would like to see more of is everyone's stories of pool games they had. regardless if it was 30 years ago or yesterday.
I love pool, and really love hearing stories of games also.
My father was a local pool god. he never went as far as playing outside of the state. but he had his specific bar he woud go to everyday. mom said he was there so much that she even sent him flowers to the bar for valentines day:grin:

He stopped playing about 10 years ago. very very rusty. he gave me his palmer cue about 4 years ago. told me to play with it. although it is worth some money, play with it as much as you can.
"i bought it to play pool, not to sit in the closet"
anyone from the northwest probably heard of the 211 pool hall downtown seattle. now gone. my father would go down there and play here and there. it was actually the only place he ever lost a game at. He did go back and beat the same guy the next day.

anyway, just recently i played my dad in pool. The hardest game i've ever played, but i finally beat him. granted my father is rusty, and i mean rusty!! But it still feels good. i feel like if i can beat my dad rusty, that now makes me an ok player. Its time for me to continue my fathers legend in my eyes. I own my own business so money wont be a problem for me. the goal is to practice until i'm great. and then, go after greatness..

anyway i'm just rambling. How about we get a section were we can all tell stories of our own personal games we played?? who's up for the idea?

MODS?

Sounds like fun to me, iam in!

Iam thinking of a good one for you!

Richie, why can't this thread become the place for pool stories?
Tell us the story already.

I suspect that you and I could kick this thing off...you know I like your stories.

Then, you just use the 'subscribe' function, and bring it back up at will.

SEND IT, RICHIE....:happydance:

or you could start it off buddy. I'd love to tell stories as i go about playing the game in life.
unless you guys are too good to play at the local taverns now a days. unless 9 ball is the only game you play and only compete in tourney's/:rolleyes:
