Storing a cue

Does it really matter when storing a cue if the case seals or not? I am wondering about the storage of my Schick. I currently have it stored in a McDermott Super Mac hard tube case. I have found a Giuseppe case that can store both my Schick and my Kompan, but it doesn't seal up air tight like the Mac tube case. The problem lies in that both cues are 60 inches long and it's very hard to find a case to hold both with joint protectors.

What is you guys/gals opinion here? Should I leave the Schick in the Mac tube and just store the Kompan in the Giuseppe or should I be looking towards finding a 2x4 It's George for both if they will fit?

Thanks,

If you are just storing a cue and want to seal it buy some pvc pipe and end caps. Wrap the cue with bubble wrap and put it inside the pipe. You can make the pipe as long as you want. You will have to glue one of the caps on because it will fly off when you try to put the last one on.

Layani used to ship his cues this way. I don't know if he still does but it protected the cue.
