In Accu-Stats e-mail notice of the coming U.S. open I see no mention of straight pool. Nor have I seen any mention of recent or pending tournaments. Am I looking in the wrong placeses?

The next big straight pool event is Peter Burrows' American Straight Pool. October 22-25.

From what i recently saw on Facebook, Alvin Nelson from Inside Pool will be streaming that event. not sure if its Free or PPV though. i imagine we will find that out as the event gets closer.

As I understand it, there is a US Open 9 Ball which has been established for years. Cue Sports International (CSI) has recently started a US Open 8 Ball and US Open 10 Ball Championship (maybe one pocket also). I would like to also see the historic US Open 14.1 revived.
The upcoming American Championship in Maryland is a high quality event with lots of big names.
