they might have slow cloth because they play it alot over there

or it could just be there incredible skill that makes it look slow

Could you share the link?

Here is the link to the Daly Book:

http://www.chicagobilliardmuseum.org/files/1913_Daly_s_billiard_book.pdf

This is a link to a book published by Brunswick in the early 1900s that has tons of straight and balkline stuff

https://books.google.com/books/about/Modern_Billiards.html?id=qXIuAAAAYAAJ

And here are a couple of links to old pamphlets on system play:

http://www.sfbilliards.com/Misc/Cannefax.pdf

The second one has the famous Cannefax Charts. That site, sfbilliards, com, has links to a ton of other billiards stuff

Off Topic Post but still about the small games

This post may be slightly off topic, apologies. The youtube channel for the" Federacion de Francaise de Billard" has put up a two part video for the final one cushion match that occured in Evian, France 2015. The match features Pascal Dessaint and Alain Remond.
This is a good chance to watch one cushion played at a high level at 480p on YouTube. Kozoom did the camera work for the event so it has multiple camera, and use of a crane goodness.

Only one person over seen referred to it as crowding he has a short video on crowding patterns on YouTube, playing on a gc

The rest simply say gather shot

Playing this game with my kilby made cue, specifically made for this game, is now even More of a joy

16 ounce, 15.8 is what he told me
11mm tip
54 inch long

I'm pretty stunned at the difference in shaft weight from 12 to long

The effort before spent trying to control my speed is now allowing me free-er cueing,
Small dia tip helping apply the English I want per shot more accurately

Already broke my previous high run with and because of this cue, while not even attempting to at that

I've watched guys playing 4 ball and couldn't understand what they were doing. That was because they didn't know. Seen on You Tube with 2 good players and it all makes sense. How they shoot masses opposite handed is amazing.

This was uploaded today came across it by accident

First straight rail match I've seen that's taking place out side of Europe, I believe

The Americans seem to still enjoy the game, the guy was able to regather them in 2 shots
