Strange goings-on with my table cloth

O.K., it's been very humid here in North Texas for the past several days. The temperatures have been moderate so I neither have the air-conditioner on nor the heater on. I've been raising my windows and letting the house to "air out", so to speak. It gets pretty warm and somewhat humid in the house in the afternoons.

So, yesterday I start throwing balls onto the table to shoot a bit when I notice a wrinkle in the cloth under the cushion on one of the long rails. It looked kinda like a piece of carpet that was in need of stretching. It was about 4 or 5 inches in length, standing about 1/2 inch high. It barely protruded out onto the playing surface as I rolled a ball down the rail and it only moved a tad (still unacceptable). I considered calling the company I bought the table from 9 months ago and see if they would come out and fix it. But after I had shot for about 15 minutes or so I noticed the wrinkle was gone. What happened to it  ? Did the humidity cause this and when I turned on the light above the table the warmth from it dried off the humidity and the cloth smoothed out? Has anyone here ever seen this phenomenon occur? Is this something I need to contact the company that sold me the table (a Brunswick Bradford) about or do I just blow it off as a natural phenomenon due to weather conditions inside my house? Any reply will be appreciated. Thanks.

cloth issues

I have seen and restretched cloth before with this problem. When i first started out in the buisness i stretched cloth a way that i was showed by another person, after a while i experimented with different cloths and came up with my own way to stretch cloth and have had no problems since then.I should not say that is totally true, once i installed Granito on a Gold Crown and a couple months later the room owner called me and told me the cloth was loose. I could not beleive it was loose because when i tore the table down i saw that i had stretched the cloth so tight that i had ripped it. I was begining to think it was the Granito,so a couple more months went by and they called again saying it was loose. At this time i noticed unusual spots on the cloth and asked how they were cleaning the table and they replied with water and soap. Well that explained those problems. The bottom line is it probably was not stretched properly, but if it was a small ripple i would not worrie about it. If it gets worst i would call the tech. Thanx, Ron

Loose cloth really shows up when there's just a little bit of moisture in the air, but dry air makes it go away, such as when you turn your pool light on. If the cloth was tight in the first place, this problem would not be happening even in a humid environment.
