O.K., it's been very humid here in North Texas for the past several days. The temperatures have been moderate so I neither have the air-conditioner on nor the heater on. I've been raising my windows and letting the house to "air out", so to speak. It gets pretty warm and somewhat humid in the house in the afternoons.
So, yesterday I start throwing balls onto the table to shoot a bit when I notice a wrinkle in the cloth under the cushion on one of the long rails. It looked kinda like a piece of carpet that was in need of stretching. It was about 4 or 5 inches in length, standing about 1/2 inch high. It barely protruded out onto the playing surface as I rolled a ball down the rail and it only moved a tad (still unacceptable). I considered calling the company I bought the table from 9 months ago and see if they would come out and fix it. But after I had shot for about 15 minutes or so I noticed the wrinkle was gone. What happened to it
? Did the humidity cause this and when I turned on the light above the table the warmth from it dried off the humidity and the cloth smoothed out? Has anyone here ever seen this phenomenon occur? Is this something I need to contact the company that sold me the table (a Brunswick Bradford) about or do I just blow it off as a natural phenomenon due to weather conditions inside my house? Any reply will be appreciated. Thanks.
