Streaming 3-cushion on now through Sunday

i'm a bout a .050 player on a good day, that means 1 out of 20 shots correct? I ran 2 without any coaching and 4 with coaching. I love 3C I havent played it in 20 years, I have probably 10 hours of playing time in it, But I'm going to change that soon, I really have awalys loved and respected the game. The older I get (43) the more I appericate it, I do see shots now better than I did when I was younger, Perhaps I'm just a slow learner(I'm not jokeing) things do come to me more easy the older I get. I see the correct shot english, what rails etc now often when I was 22 I didnt hardly ever see the right shot. funny how that works.

thanks again

Eric,

I agree about how great the game is. I was upside down, I learned when I was younger and that's what I mostly played. Most young folks don't like the pace of 3-c & 1-pocket when they are young, they want to fire in balls. I kind of wish I had done more of that firing in the balls because ball pocketing is the weakest part of my pool game.

I was fortunate to move to "the Valley" (LA, Ca area) in late 76 and got to play and learn from many of the great players playing out of North Hollywood billiards, including Allen Gilbert & Frank Torres. Although I played pretty well before I moved (at that time I could even hit where i was aiming), my game really improved watching those guys control all balls, including safety play, thus controlling the game. When I was young, I once asked Steve Mizerak what his high run was and he replied "280, but just give me the steady Eddie 80's". That's how I played 3-c, just give me those steady Eddie 4, 5 & 6's and let me control the game. I did not care about high runs.

Unfortunately for my game, but fortunately for my life, I decided to go back to school in 77-79 and got a good job w/HP thereafter. So I didn't really play much after that, although I did have successes playing occasionally in the nationals.

I am so fortunate to have 3-cushion in my life, as well as pool. It's an awesome sport - and really great if you don''t have to make living playing it . I wish the pros could, that would be great.

Dave

..And Bob is the greatest, except he's an action killer . But since I never play anymore, all is fogiven.
