I have been trying a stroke drill where you place the cue ball and object ball two diamonds from the top rail and bottom rail diagonally.(mighty x) You then shoot the shot into the corner and try to make the object ball, and follow the ball in with the cue ball.(scratch) My question is, do you keep doing this shot everyday and your body and mind subconsciously learns how to do it, or do you make conscious changes to perfect your stroke? As an aside, about a year ago I spent two weeks working on this shot and got to where I made it 39 times in a row and scratched. I quit practicing however, and I am starting from scratch(make two, barely miss, make two, barely miss etc..) From what I remember, the last time I did this I made no conscious changes. When I started, I couldn't make it, two weeks later 39 times in a row. I'm just looking for opinions(conscious or subconscious). Sorry for the sloppy english.
