Rickieboy...I never turned it down. Man, your fingers cannot keep pace with your "quick wit"! LOL Try the preview option before you post!
Scott Lee ~ also apparently known as "Scoot Lee" :rotflmao1:
http://poolknowledge.com
I have absolutely no inclination to spend even one minute of my life in any real association of any kind with individuals such as the kind that were mentioned.
I also have no need to prove myself to that kind of individual or anyone else for that matter.
I recently said that there was a time when I might have enjoyed meeting Keebie & playing a few games, but that changed about a week or so ago.
Also... matters of a mental, intellectual nature are not proven by any physical contest... bad eyes & back aside.
Wolf, wolf, wolf, all Y'all want. It does not change one intellectual idea, explanation, etc.
The three letter acronym group did the same thing when they realized that they had no reasonable, logical, critically thought out explanation to offer in support of their position.
My dad can beat your dad in arm wrestling & that would make my dad right about religion... or politics, or education, etc.
ALL Best Wishes for ALL.
PS I remember being offered a suckers proposition bet by Scott Lee way back when & when I turned it back on him with him failing resulting in him leaving AZB forever, he very quickly turned it down. Perhaps Scott Lee would agree to play Ms. Crimi for the same cheese. Unfortunately Ms. Crimi does not play in such challenge matches either. I'd love to see them play each other in a tournament though. I think she would beat him so bad on the table that we would have to scrape Scott Lee from off the floor with a shovel. Personally I would never pay for a lesson from one that can not play nor never has played at a high level.
I was watching a bunch of videos on youtube the other night. I was watching a local top player playing Jason Shaw (and beating him) at the last Eastern States Championships at Snookers. This guy obviously plays pro speed. He has extremely short little practice strokes, and then takes whatever length stroke is required for the shot on the actual stroke.
Interesting thing: In a lesson Earl Strickland specifically said to me to think about trying very short little practice strokes. Like 1/2 inch or an inch or something. If you look carefully, he does 2 practice strokes and shoots pretty much every time. But many of those practice strokes contain like 3 little bump bump bumps. Short little strokes. I have tried this and it feels pretty decent.
Point is, I think it is going to vary by player, as long as they do the same thing every time it should be fine.

Is it crawfish season again?
I don't know why you do them. However I do them to fine tune my aim/cueball contact, and in the process check my alignment. If the aim looks wrong, or I seem misaligned, I get back up again.
I don't really "aim" as such when down over the ball, as much as I check that my cuestick is pointing in the direction of my aimpoint, which I picked out while standing upright. If my cuestick does not naturally "want" to point in the direction of my selected aimpoint, to me that suggests that my body is misaligned some way or other. If I just push the cue up to the ball and freeze it there, it will not show this misalignment as clearly as feathering will. We're not talking about major misalignments anyway, but a only a little bit. It is imperative then, not to force the issue, but instead get back up and start over. As you get better at the game, that should happen very rarely.
Anyhow the short feathers have many uses, and I don't see how one could prove that they have one use only. They obviously do what I stated above, but also loosen the arm/hand up. It's a good way to check if you are deathgripping the cue for instance (out of nervousness or other reasons), if you have problems with that. Very hard to do nice feathers with a death grip and too much arm tension, you'll feel it instantly. I'm sure many of you can think of other uses for them, but they work, that's the important thing.
Not at all.
I think Fran Crimi would wipe the floor with Scott Lee if they played each other in a tournament.
But... I know how some like to twist & distort matters to give false impressions.
I also know what that says about such individuals.
I also know what your actions here & what it took to do so says about your motives & agenda.
Best Wishes to All.
It would be better to ask him to play with you. You said he can't play pool. Now you are saying that YOU can't play !!!! Your words, not mine.
If you watched greyghost beating Rick, would that make you feel happy ????
You and your friends attack him all the time, seems like having a lot of fun.
I really wonder what the moderators in this forum are doing.
And makes me think of not posting here again. Or close my account forever.
Seems like you and your friends get a lot of "protection" here".
But what about you?
I too know about your actions, and what it says about your motives and agenda. That has been crystal clear since you joined,
Anyway it is time to go and play pool and not write about it.

I'm so happy you agree, Rick.
By the way, you stated you would only take lessons from someone who has played at a high level themselves. What would you consider starts playing at a high level? A B player, A player, shortstop, or pro?
Hi Panos,
I know you know, but I wonder how many others notice that if anyone says anything contrary to what a certain group teaches they will get "lambasted" buy one, two, or more of that group.
ALL Best Wishes for You & Yours,
Rick
In your haste to be yourself you missed my actual post.
Also I never said that I would ONLY take a lesson from someone who has played at a high level.
That is not what I said, but as usual you twist & distort or simply do not read all that well.
Vaya con Dios.
What you THINK you know with your 'omniscience' is WRONG.
You took a 3 year hiatus & where criticizing me for not playing while you had no idea as to why that might have been.
There is a very logical, reasonable, & objective reason to play with a cue vs a broom stick...
Yep, but I did not spend every waking hour on the internet, posting in forums and finding pictures.
I stopped competing, but I still feed my stroke every day.
Now back to the task at hand, read my earlier post, and go back and re-read what I told you, about the difference between feathering, and no stroke.
Admit that maybe you can learn more than 2 things on AZ in over 4 years.
This guy might disagree
