Got some SlipStic shaft conditioner the other day, put it on a Shaft Last Night per the Directions on the Web-Site.

Cleaned (2) Shafts before Applying, and than did the Q Smooth thing to to both shafts.

Treated (1) Shaft, and left the other one with Nothing on it.

SlipStic treated shaft is like 100 Percent Smoother.

Shaft # Two will get SlipStic treated tonight.... ;)

Is this stuff supposed to overcome the use of a glove?

Think a Glove is another Option. But as Gloves are Porous, and I SWEAT A-lot, I have to Try like HELL to keep my Hands Clean & Dry. Think I would Sweat more with a Glove.

Wet Hands Transfers CRAP to my Shafts, and they feel Terrible. So I come to play pool with a supply of Old Cotton T-Shirt RAGs for Hand Wiping...

Personally have NEVER TRIED A Glove, think the reason I have shied away from trying one is. I have this picture of Michael Jackson who always wears One Glove in my Mind.

We got a Three Cushion player where I live who play with Cotton White Gardening Gloves on both hands. Seem to work for him.

I guess I will be the last Glove less player...

Yes, I tried it and I like it. It is really smooth. I do not like a glove. Personally, I think this is a great product in Asia because it is so hot and sticky over there.

You got that right. Friday night I was hittin' em at river city pockets and they leave the front door open from like 8:00 P.M. on and the whole room gets a little sticky. I'm washing my hands like every 30 minutes(Doesn't help that they clean the tables about once a year)

Hey - are you guys referring to "SlipStic Billiard Cleaner" (~$9.00) or
"SlipStic Conditioner" (~$20.00)??

To Pete Lafond- This is by far the best product for keeping the cue smooth out there. It's a miracle! I played a whole tournament today and never had to use powder, which is a FIRST for me. All I had to do was wipe the shaft once or twice with a cloth and it worked great! Slipstic is great!!! Thanks!!

I don't know if that is it's intent, and I'm not a glove user. However, I think it makes the cue glide plenty smooth without a glove even under adverst conditions. This weekend for a day and a half before being flooded with horrendous thunderstorms, we had incredible heat and humidity and playing in my basement it was only more humid. It didn't glide as well as normal, but it was sufficient so stickiness didn't interfer with my stroke (my mind interferred, but that's another story). Because the conditions were so bad out of curiousity I dragged out a glove (had to sew a seam first) and give it a try. It was incredibly smooth, too smooth actually for my taste.
If you don't like using a glove and only use it to overcome stickiness, I'd suggest trying this product.

I believe they are sold as a package, but its the conditioner you want. Works great :D

The cleaner cleans the shaft, the conditioner makes it smooth. I would recommend both.

Know any other places to buy the stuff?? The shipping charge is pretty high on the website for small purchase. I'm in California.

Me 2, Jazz. But the biggest issue with their web site is that the Order Form is NOT SECURE (no "HTTPS"). And if you click on their PayPal logo it's not a real PayPal Checkout page (still not secure). So I went to PayPal and tried to send a payment that way, but their email address provided on the site (sales@slipstic.com) is not Registered with PayPal.

Next I tried to email them for assistance, but their email bounced back as undeliverable.

Sooo, can anyone tell me how to order this stuff??

(PS: Pete, NEVER EVER launch a site until all this stuff works).

Hopefully

Hopefully soon Pete with have his products in places like Mueller, Seyberts, & Local Retailers so that the Products are readily available.

Once we figure out how to order, perhaps we can do combined order to split the shipping cost. I'm thinking 2 and 2 for now.

We can finally meet in person at CBC or somewhere in San Jose once the shipment arrives. I'll show you my sticks if you show me yours

Try calling him directly, or try PMing, emailing, or calling Mike Webb. I believe Mike is an authorized reseller.

(PS: Pete, NEVER EVER launch a site until all this stuff works).

Launching stuff before it all works didn't seem to interfere with Microsoft's success.

I was not aware that anyone had emails bouncing back. Sorry if this was the case for you. Our primary focus has been to get SlipStic products into billiard rooms. This is a long process as there are many billiard rooms and only 50% actually have a pro shop. Our interest was to promote billiard rooms as this is where pool players play. We introduced our product in May which is the end of the billiard season. Resellers will not buy product until October when the new season begins. Sort of caught in-between as you can see. We hope that when the season kicks off you will find SlipStic products at more convenient locations. In the meanwhile you might contact Micheal Webb, cue maker, at www.webbcues.com. Everyone is always welcome to call me at 585 226 1272 at almost anytime. Thanks.
