A bar/pool hall I recently played in had the type of cloth that looks to get shiny over time. What the hell brand is that? It was plenty fast, but instead of looking worn down and ratty, it looked shiny. I couldn't get draw for nothing either. I could, but really had to crank on it.

I would say that most worsted cloth that gets a lot of play and is dirty gets the shine that your talking about. Because there is no nap to the weave the dirt and oils build up and it gets shiny. I would say that it is probably Simonis but others will do the same thing.

More than likely Simonis 760, but way over due to be changed. That's a problem that indicates that the room owner is going broke, because when they won't spend the money to take care of the equipment, it's usually a choice between the rent...or maintaining the tables;)
