I have a Predator shaft and there is a brown mark in the wood which I was told a sugar mark right in my line of site. Is there a way to get rid of it or just rotate the shaft till I don't see it anymore?

Yep. Thats the only thing that you can do.

Since the sugar mark is in your line of sight, does that mean you are using some mark or design on the handle of the cue as your "top" position so that you always hold the cue the same? If that is the case, a good repairman or cuemaker might be able to face off the joint on either the handle or the shaft or both so that the shaft turns one more quarter or half turn before it tightens. It depends on the joint pin.

But that might also change the hit of the cue slightly as the longitudinal allignment of the cue overall would change.

Just a thought - maybe a bad one - let's see what others think.

Send it back for a new shaft.
