Erik Estrada, maybe.idontknow said:is it possible for someone to get another cue made by eric? i tried to get on his wait list but he said he's not taking anymore names down. totally bummed out about that
Retail1LO said:Here's some of his latest. The second from the bottom just sold in the Wanted/For Sale Forum for $1750 in a matter of minutes. I'm happy for Eric. He's truly one of the business' nice guys, makes a tremendous cue...and their prices are reflecting that more and more. I'm so glad the second cue down on this picture is comin' to me. What a beaut.
This will be the 4th Sugartree I've owned. I've loved them all. I can honestly say however...going forward...once they're mine...they're mine. Someone else can own them when I'm dead.

Retail1LO said:As if it's REALLY necessary to link the thread you started...to this one. Your thread wasn't even a review on a cue...which is what this section of the forum is for. In the Gallery section...I posted a picture of my Sugartree...and you hijacked THAT thread with the very first post.

You started your own thread regarding your negative experience with Eric. I'm not even saying your opinion isn't unfounded, based off of your own personal experience as you described it. I just don't think it's fair that you bring it up in every single thread regarding a Sugartree.
Now that you have your own thread that details your issues with Eric...I'm asking you politely that your comments in the gallery consist of what you think of the cue pictured, and the comments in the cue review section stay on task too.
pharaoh68 said:OK Retail10. I get your point. But you need to understand something...
The point of the 'Cue Reviews section' is not to review ONE SPECIFIC cue by a cuemaker. Its to review the cuemaker's body of work. That being said, I have done that. I have mentioned that I have owned other Sugartrees and I like how they play. However, one would think that these threads (in a review section) might convince an individual to order a cue from whomever is being reviewed. In that case, I feel it only fair to warn people that Eric is NOT a stand-up guy or a man of his word ...in my EXPERIENCE WITH HIM, and quite frankly, in his own words!!!!
He honors the orders he wants to. He chooses what he wants to do. Just because you order something does NOT mean you are going to get it. And do your research. I am not the ONLY ONE who got shafted (no pun intended). How is that any different than you continually stating that Eric is a great guy to deal with and how much you love him?!?! Hell! According to you, those comments have no place in a 'Review' or 'Gallery' section.
Look. I have enough enemies. I don't mind taking on others but really. What's the point? If we disagree, we disagree. If we have differences in our interactions with someone, there is nothing either of us can do about that. Eric is a hero in your eyes and a poor businessman in mine. Lets just leave the differences at that.
Finally, take note to the fact that I posted my opinions in the first post of that thread. After that, all I have done is defend myself against the responses from you and others who think that my negative review is uncalled for. Again, this section ain't just for deifying a man. People have to learn that life is all about taking the good with the bad.
In short, we just disagree. No harm, no foul. I'm not beating a dead horse here (though it may seem like I am. I'm just A) letting people know what happened to me and others, and B) defending myself when people tell me I'm out of line for telling my story. Well, why??? Do all reviews have to be glowing?
Take it easy man.
