suggestions for setting up garage?

I would go with an 18,000 btu Klimaire mini split with the heat pump. Its around $900 and another $4-600 to install.
They are half the price or less of a Mitsubishi and they are fantastic. I used to have a table in the garage and they will cool, heat and dehumidify. They have a remote and a mobile app so you can schedule when they come on/off etc.

I did not run mine full time, but I did insulate the garage ceiling and door (Styrofoam). I live in Fl so i didnt use the heat much, but it would heat up or cool the whole garage in less than 10 minutes. I have one in my garage of my new house to use as a fitness center/workshop. Great product.

how does that impact your heat/cooling bill running it all the time?
Hardly an impact at all, these mini-splits are super efficient. Keeping moderate temps will help the cushion adhesive hold, and the Beeswax from seeping up out of the joints. In general your table is a fine piece of furniture that needs to remain as stable as possible, in order to accomplish that you will need it in a temp controlled environment all the time.

Over concrete, I rolled out 5 mats 1/2'' thick.... 4'w x 16 long and connected the seams with red duct tape. Feet never hurt, chalk tho bounces!!!!

Gas heater. Modine makes a unit called Hot Dawg that's very popular here in Minnesota. Thermostat controlled. Wouldn't even think about trying to heat the garage with electric around here.

I'm leaning against multiple mats as I'm concerned over seams and tripping.
Can anybody provide their opinions on the solution below, I can get this custom made to size in a one piece, appears like a very high quality one and done solution
