Is there a difference between the Super Aramith Pro Cue Ball and the Super Aramith Pro Cup Cue Ball? Other than the markings on the ball?

No, except the sets are supposed to be matched weights. If you but the cup ball separate it could deviate a gram or so out of your set of balls (but probably not anyways). Same ball otherwise.

Not sure which cue balls you mean, but the one that comes with the standard set plays much lighter than the measle ball.

I have both, can't tell them apart other than spots.

The red circle ball is supposed to "play lighter", because it is lighter, but that's not the matched cue ball that comes with the set.

I have had both too and I agree. Regarding the red circle, there is a room owner out here who managed a room prior to owning the room he has now. He has always been ape over the Chinese red circle cue balls that are extremely light. I absolutely hate using that ball because it deflects/ reacts so differently.

The Pro Cup Ball is like twice the price of the regular pro ball. If they are pretty much the same ball, then I'll just get the Pro Ball. I don't need to see the spin of the ball that much. lol Thanks again for the help with this.

People say the measel ball is heavier but I have heard the weight is the same as the red circle and red Aramith logo cue balls.

Threads like this are very misleading. The older cue balls both Red Circle and Measle
didn't weigh the same. The newer ones are supposed to weigh the same.

So when people say this one or that one plays heavier or this one plays lighter they could
all be right, depending on when the cue ball they are speaking about was made.

Matched sets are talked about a lot. One thing that isn't brought up much is that the Red circle is not
sold with any of the sets. It is only sold separately The Measle ball however is sold with a matched set.

I prefer the Measle ball.

Post.

Aramith red circle for me please, the newer balls in comparison here are weighted the same today but I can tell the difference in play... It could be all in my head because i had used the old measle ball many times and could tell the weight difference so now all the measles balls feel heavy and sluggish in play.
Just my two cents.
