Super early sneak peak of my next Black Boar.

I made this drawing in early April. I've always wanted to do a crazy gothic design with a top cuemaker. Black Boar was a perfect option. I sent the pic to them and they really thought it could be something special. Next l made a trip to Tony's shop and had a chance to see their amazing cue laboratory. Geniuses at work!!! Watching Donnie do his work on the design program was super cool to say the least!!!

Ever since they have been refining this design. This cue will have more blood, sweat and tears in perfecting the design than any cue I've ever commissioned. Both Tony and Donnie have spent hours and hours refining every arc and curve in this Gothic design. Tony was adament about getting cue as close to the drawing and my vision as possible. The cue will be loaded with silver and I think it's gonna be spectacular!!!

I have more pics through the process, but in a couple of weeks I'll post the finished product.

Sorry how dark it is, but you get the idea...............this is the core design for the butt sleeve, but will be surrounded by lots of small, intricate and sharp silver and ivory inlays.

This will top the charts! Can't wait to see what the finished cue will look like.

I can't wait to see more pictures too, will be a gem. Do update this thread whenever you have pics? Thanks for sharing Jimmy.

Normally I don't like when great cuebuilders build a cue with someone's design because you can basically hire any builder to do it. The point of commissioning a build is for vision and creativity of the builder.

In this instance, I think OP's design fits very well with Black Boar's themes.

I am sure it will look fantastic.

That's funny... Sure, you make a design similar to this and ask ANY "cuebuilder" to do it.. See what you get in return.... You obviously know very little not only about cue makers but having custom cues made...

Jimmy, you "chose" the CORRECT builder for this cue...

You lack comprehension as usual and I already said it was a nice design that fits that of Tony at Black Boar.

I will try to explain it to you as simple as possible, if Jackson Pollack was still alive, you wouldn't commission a self portrait with him would you?

NO. HERE IS YOUR LACK OF COMPREHENSION... You said, and I quote;

"Normally I don't like when great cuebuilders build a cue with someone's design because you can basically hire any builder to do it"

My comment was addressed to what's in red. NO not ANY "builder" can do "someone's" design... Only someone who is inexperienced and/or ignorant to the makers and process of building cues would say such a false statement.. YOU are such a person and you prove it every time you post on these forums.

Jimmy has let me in on this design from when he first had the idea. It's going to be a very special cue without a doubt!

Nice

With this design and the talent at the BB shop this cue will be another great master piece.

The design reminds me of this Volturi case - http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=400986
