I have added 4 new sponsors since the 1st post regarding our sponsors (they have been notated with *** before their names). I have also verified and updated all the links.

The sponsors listed below have made it possible for the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour to add $93,000.00 in Guaranteed Added Prize Money to our events in the 2005/06 tour season.

I have only read some of the posts between you guys but can't you guys sort it out. Teacherman many credible people on this board seem to think Mr Janis is a stand up guy working hard for pool. It's obvious you are upset about something but cant you keep your bun fight to one thread and stop stalking the poor guy? Adding a negative comment to a thread that is simply giving a "shout out" to some of pools sponsors surely can't help pool?

I hope you run out of buns soon :-)

Is this what you are going to do? Mike calls you on one thread, and now you are going to flame every thread that he posts? Are you that arrogant, with that little time on your hands? I understand adding your thoughts when a thread concerns you, but there is no reason for you to be so arrogant and disrespectful to every thread posted by someone who disagrees with an opinion of yours.

That's what Teacherman always does. He's been known to hijack many a thread with constant bashing. But of course, everything he does is perfect. Then to make matters worse, a couple of people on here always picks his side, no matter what he says. So in a sick sorta way, Teacherman feels justified.

Getting more information is cool. Teacherman bashing is always lame, and is always constant. Teacherman has already self proclaimed himself as "burn out boy", and with that kinda attitude it's obvious why.

You should've been warned about Teachman's antics. Sometimes you just have to ignore idiocy.

Of course Teacherman can dish out criticism, but will never accept it, himself.

Teacherman inane dribble will sure to follow.

It just gets annoying when new posters fall into Burn Out Boy's trap - same inane posts from Teacherman that go on and on ad infinitem.

You can bet, no matter what anyone else proposes, Burn Out Boy will have a negative response.

Well, it won't be long before he too will be banned from the boards.

But I give credit to Mike Janis. He sure does have an impressive list of sponsors. Even though I doubt that posting them on this board is the proper thing to do. Maybe other tour directors will follow suit and post all their sponsors too. But then I don't really care. I just wonder how Mike can keep track of all the goodies the sponsors keep sending him. The UPS truck must be at his door every day.

I wondered how Mike gets all the sponsors he does, too. I asked for help and all I got was "It's a proprietary secret".

Barbara, it would be easy for you to get sponsors, just look them in the eye and bat your eyes. They will melt before you.

Seriously though, you just send them a letter, call them up, send another letter, call them again, meet with them at tournaments and convince them that you can sell their product for them. You will have to show them that you have the ability to promote their product. I hope you do better job of promoting the sponsors than MJ did by just listing all his sponsors on this website because in all reality most people just skipped over them and didn't bother reading them.

And of course talk with players who do have sponsors and find out what they did to get them. But you will probably find out that MJ is not the only one who is tight lipped on how he got his sponsors. After all, you might use their method to get a sponsor who they were ready to work on.

I found out at the SBE that have the "The Nuts", too! And Viking was pretty disapointed to see Pechauer's name on my biz card and Tour. And Barry Hart and Dennis Coulter are pretty much hooked on my Nuts!

Maybe I have some leverage to get a Qualifier from them or they won't see the Nuts again!

Barbara, it's actually a real simple system. You pay your dues in the pool biz (this took me many years) and you give the sponsors a good outlet that they can use to promote their product line.

Fortunately for the Viking Tour we operate in many major market places in the US. In fact about 10 times more than any other regional tour. This fact alone makes my sale a little easier. Then we have a really cool packet that we give to potential sponsors that describes all the benefits they get. Also, Our prices to them are extremely reasonable.
