im not suprised, that table is so perfect that once shane or alex gets the speed down and the feel of the cushions, they should run big packages once or twice a nite 6+ is a big package, 5 or lower is a good package but aint champion speed. Both of them can run 7-10 on this table with a little luck and a good break.
Now if these were true 4" pockets then pocket size would matter, they are not that hard, I didnt want a box that tough, cause I played all games on it, if I played only 1P then it would have 4" pockets. you can bet your last penny i'm having Glen do a second set for my other table that are 4" just for 1P.
The smaller pockets are not the factor-they mite seem like they are but they aint, look at the stats, And I knew it before they started(I know I was in dead stroke when I got this table and it didnt slow my roll one bit). At the moment i cant run 5 balls, I'm on a pool vacation for a while longer first one in years
Back to this box, its a easy table because there are no funny rolls, or weird banks where the CB takes a big bounce and rolls long. funny bounces and getting out of line makes pool harder than pockets that are 1/3" smaller. With these cushions and 5" pockets on a 9' not 8" box, I bet Schmitt, Orttman could break Willies 526. Broomback might never miss a bank-ever, sadly when he was at my house this table had the old cushions on it, he might bank 200 in a row, well ok thats a bit much , i'm just making a point. Bad cushions = more difficult pool, surprises with bounces can getyou hooked and your kicking safe not running out.
IT IS MY OPINION WHO BREAKS BEST WINS THIS MATCH, PERIOD.

Anyone on this board that a B player or better will play better on this table,
Recently there has been chatter about standardizing pool equipment with pocket size-thats ALL wrong, rails are how many times bigger? standardizing the rails(cushions) so you know where the rock is going and no funny bounces, thats standardazation we need in pool NOT just pocket size(the smallest part of the play field)
I will have this table set up in Vegas in a month and it will be there for ppl to use when I'm in town, or if TAR wants it again,

aint that the truth, a 7 pack is awesome, but a 7 pack then is triple awesome, the only topper would to run 7&out to end it at 100 games.
The best I ever did to close out a race was a 3 pack, I have done that several times. Which is pretty bad. I break so bad the packages never come for me.
I just put my stats up there to shed some lite on just how strong that was, I been at this for 25 years and I aint ever finished a session with 50% of what Shane did(and I was playing 9ball). Shane will be king in a few more years-he agreed with me on that, we had a few private conversations. I'm real proud of Shane and him sticking to what he said he was gonna do. Look at the last 6 months-seems like 2008 all over again, but now his game has matured. Alex might be the hardest guy to beat, Dennis might play better(Alex says so, but playing better and winning are two seperate things). So for Shane who was behind most of the session is like when he stole it from Donnie Mills(I bet on Donny) LOL.
Coming with it when you need it is harder than coming with it when your down 89-34 and the pressure is off. Dont worry alex aint gonna be a bit softer today, he is going to come out swinging and I predict another close day.
this is a epic match up, we havent had a real good one in some time and I hope it comes down to the wire. the best breaker wins

Any non-pro on AZB can get 2:1 on the money if they play from Shane's starting positions in each rack starting with the rack at 28:31 for Alex after Alex's break.
I will spot everyone on the board two racks. Run five of the seven from Shane's position and you can get paid double. I will bet up to $1000. Pockets have to be at least 4.5" on the table you try it on.

In the Philippines you might get lynched if you ever did that to a player. There they play with a crowd of people standing around the table and still no one jacks with the shooter.

those that have purchased the PPV can watch the last few racks (they are looping it now). Alex broke dry, Shane got out, and B & R the last 6...SUPER DUPER STRONG.

I haven't played on this table but I did play on the one Glen made to four inch pockets up at the golden fleece (Dave's place) up in Washington.
It plays easier for people who have a clean consistent stroke than a standard diamond.

I agree it will be close I predict Shane will win by 7-12 games unless he really just goes on a tear and blows it out.
When I saw people asking for nine and ten games on the wire, I was like I'll sit this one out.
I was tempted to bet on Alex with the spread, but I just can't get myself to bet against Shane. He's a monster.
