It all comes down to ad revenue. If you're matchroom, and the euro market loves to see their team trash our famous gunslingers of days long past, so they can go out and brag about how those 'Yanks' lost again, leads me to believe that even if we had a few up and coming monsters to replace said player, not sure matchroom would want that to happen.
Sells a lot of beer, snacks and condoms to watch those 'Yanks' get put in their place again this year. Just sayin...

I am thinking with the new Asia team the Mosconi Cup will be a thing of the past in the near future. If they are looking at revenue it makes sense to break up Europe and Asia into 2 or 3 zones and have a playoff for World Championship. Heck I bet even South America could put together a decent team.
