SVB's Pat Diviney cue

He has said in a TAR interview that he likes it very much, and that it doesn't make any difference to him which cue he uses, however, we all know that it takes time, maybe months, to completely adapt to a new cue. With SVB playing important tournaments, and having Alex dogging his steps all over the country, just maybe he feels some comfort in the cue that he used for years. I don't think that means that he doesn't like it...Tom

Unfortunately he lost his first game against Majid so I think there's no match between him and Alex at World Pool Master. So what your saying now that Shane's old cue is only use for Important tournament and Pat's cue is only for small tournament? If he really like his new cue he should have use it any tournaments and Beside Pat's sponsor him right? what do you think pat gonna think about this that his cue is not good enough for a champion like Shane. If i'm the guy who sponsors someone to use my product I expect that they will use it any tournament..just my .02 cents

You gotta have time to adjust to a new cue before putting it into action.. You use a cue for so long you get comfortable with it.. When you pick up a new cue in those tight spots the comfort level is low.

I had a cue maker make me a cue for free just to play with his cues. He brought it to me at a tournament. I continued to use my old cue and placed 3rd. He knows it takes time to adjust.

I did play with the cue the whole following week and won a TK event that next weekend though. So I love my cue but it did take a little time to get comfirtable with it.

Personally I don't know why he would change up from his old cue considering all he has won with it. My previous cue before the one made for me I only had a couple months.

He will need to practice a few weeks with the cue before the comfort level sets in and I doubt he will be doing that if he has a major event or cash game in the near future. Much like this tournament and the cash game.

It's understandable..

Well he did say in the TAR interview he didnt know what happened at the last tournament and he was trying to figure it out. Maybe the only thing he could think of was the cue change and changed it this time. But since he got beat 8-4 here first round maybe he'll go back to the diviney.
