For one thing If Laurie wanted to charge Market price for the cues it wouldn't just be to me. Therefore, the secondary Market price would be even higher, unless people just stopped placing orders. The fact that she doesn't take a deposit 8 years before the cue goes under construction might be that it would get aggrevating keeping track of everyones money. However, I believe I will be paying for %50 of the cue when it goes under construction, and if not oh well, either way she can run the business how she wants and I would have ordered the cue regardless. I don't know if mentioning that this will not be my first SW has any bearing on the discussion, but I've bought 4 on the secondary market and I gaurentee that I didn't pay what the original owner did. But If I do end up selling the cue I promise that If Jimbo gives me a shipping address I'll FED EX the fanciest box of tissues I can find no matter what kind of profit (if any) that I make.

Interesting!! I just got here but it seems to me:
1. the Kid is fishing for someone to buy the cue with what the buyer wants before he has it built - so he isn't out any money and gets a nice commission
2. seems the cue maker should be the one making the money since its Laurie's product, sweat and tears (and she has had some huh?) and guts to continue the business

Smarts??? What Smarts, in 97 there was already a list that could choke a cow and they were already selling very well in the secondary market. All it took was a phone call and depending on his local and carrier that could have been as little as $.10.

No Santorno, Kid is intitled and Entitled to make money on this cue, he has suffered through years of waiting and he was a super genius with insight (God I hope it's not ensight) to place his name on this list. I can't even imagine what he's gone threw (opps shouldn't that be Through?) the sheer guts on the Kid for taking such a risk. I just hope he can make at least $800 on the cue, I mean after all he deserves every penny of it.
I know I'll be praying for him, I can only imagine what he's going through right now, ebony, cocobolo, hell that choice alone could cost him $50, this Kid is a real daredevil, how does he sleep at nite (O Sh*T I meant Night).
