SW Sale

2500 seems about right,Scott. Hell look at some websites and see what used ones are going for. I assume you know that though. 100 bucks a year over the price direct from Southwest = 800 over what you can get it for yourself I guess. In another 8 years what will it be worth unplayed?

Agree....seems about what you'd expect. It has an exotic nose with low weight (<20oz), great figure in the woods, attractive and colorful veneers, extra veneers in rings and stacked in butt. Even though this cue doesn't have the rings above/below the wrap, it's a premium SW !!

Thanks, guys. That is exactly the kind of information that I am trying to learn.

I read recently on AZB that an ebony front is a premium on a SW. But, I've also heard/read that macassar ebony (like this one) is not nearly as desirable as dark black gaboon. If this cue had a jet black front, would it go for even more?

I have seen that cue before... hmmmm...

But yes the wood combonation and the fact it's unplayed, keeps it at a premium..

i agree. the combonation of woods and veneer colors is ultra rare not to mention it's a 3 veneer cue.

That same cue by that same seller was high bid last time at 3500++ by a scam artist in the far east. I emailed the seller about this. This is a very attractive cue, and the photos were downloaded for when my turn on the waiting list comes up. The additional information provided on this thread has really helped guys (ie: type of ebony nose, ringwork, etc) Thanks, and I'm only 5 years out...LOL
