This is the nicest amboyna burl I have ever seen. Can anyone guess who the cuemaker is?

Thanks for posting the pics Remy. That amboyna burl looks sweeeeet.
Ted you lucky son of a gun, your the man.
Another beauty to add to your collection.
Congrats to ya.
Jeff

very nice cue by Mr Jeff Olney again...makes me want to get another Olney cue. :)

the maple slotted ringwork is a giveaway. Mr Jeff Olney's ringwork is quite easy to identify, provided you have an Olney cue. :D

Marcel <--- own 2 Olney cues

I had never seen a sw style cue done in burl thought it would be nice to make a few. the others will be done up with black jt. collars and black butt cap also a few with the thuya burl. i have to keep one of these burl cues, i am ready to go play a little after testing Ted's cue out. Jeff O

Jeff,
I'd like to get my name on the top of the list for the thuya burl
I'll call you after I come up with a design ok?

THE PHELONIC JOINT WITH THE RINGWORK MATCHING UP THE WAY IT DOES IS VERY IMPRESSIVE. tHAT IS ALSO SOME BEAUTIFUL SHAFT WOOD . HATS OFF TO JEFF AND CONGRATS ON THE CUE !

Ambonya is an amazing looking wood and Jeff is an amazing cue maker. Got to be a killer cue. Nice job Jeff. Congrads cuesblues.

My First Olney

Hey Rem, thanks for posting the pics.
The cue is on the way to me and I can't wait to play with it.

Jeff says it plays really good (as expected), and he apparently is using Wizard tips.
I've never used Wizard tips before, but I'm sure they play great.
I'm not that picky about tips, but he like these Wizard's.

I'm just excited about getting the cue.
It's my first Olney cue and I am dying to check it out.
I know Jeff is busy and I'm just happy that it shipped.
Jeff played with it and says it has a phenomenal hit.
He also commented that the shafts are from some exceptional shaft wood, so I'm sure I'll be very happy with this cue.

Thanks again for posting, and I will report back in a couple of days after I get it and try it out.

Got it today

Ted you lucky guy you!!! Nice pick up buddy!!

Thanks Brian

I got the cue today and took it to the pool hall.
Myself and everyone else was impressed, and the cue is definitely a firm hitter.
I got used to it right away.
A few guys thought it was a Southwest.
The shafts are amazing, very clean looking, great quality, and the cue is perfect, and dead straight.

I recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a great cue to play with, and he doesn't charge a ton of money to build a cue.
He even made some nice jp's to go with it which was a nice touch, and I didn't think I would get joint protectors with the cue.

Thanks again

Ted

Ted, glad you like the cue, the purple heart handle firms up the hit a little. hope it becomes your main player. Jeff O
