Switching 3/8 X 10 to G10

Stainless steel is made with chromium. The higher the chromium, the less magnetic. Examples of very high chromium SS would be parts made for boats that would see a lot of salt water.
As for my pin, it is aluminum. I tested it with anodizing that I use on aluminum gun sites. You learn something new every day.

It's the alloy. Some (martensitic) are a little magnetic, others (austenitic) are not. Yes, I am a silly engineer with too much trivial "information" crammed into a very small brain.

It's good to laugh, one of my favorite pastimes. Hope all is well with you and you haven't been too hammered by snow.

Dave <-- also tries magnets on stainless just for fun :)
Seriously.
Thank you. I never knew or even imagined.
I appreciate you!
