System for Aiming With Sidespin (SAWS)

Dr Dave
i have a question, since deflection or whatever you call it happens with all cues at irregular times and amounts would the average guy be better off avoiding side?
... not if that "average guy" wants to be a good player. Sidespin is a critical skill for playing good pool.

Is it worth it to buy fiber or other low deflect shafts since they also require adjustments?
The good thing about SAWS is that it can be used with any cue, with any amount of CB deflection. Having said this, aiming adjustments are smaller with less CB deflection, so the chances for error will also be smaller. For more info, see advantages of LD shafts.

I enjoy seeing your articles from time to time,I admire your hard work
I'm glad to hear it. Thanks.

Regards,
Dave

FYI to those waiting for the physical DVD, it is available and shipping today!

Enjoy,
Dave

I am very please to announce that I just released a new full-length (1h 22m) instructional video called:

System for Aiming With Sidespin (SAWS)

I have been working on this for a while, and I feel like it is some of my best work to date. Here's an overview video, and here's a detailed Table of Contents.

The physical DVD is not available yet (I'm currently taking pre-orders), but the stream/download version is available now. If any of you decide to check out and work with SAWS, please share your feedback (good or bad) here.

I hope some of you enjoy and and benefit from my new work.

Best regards,
Dave
