Why were these 2 legends facing off tonite for an hour plus of 8 Ball? I dont really know but they did. Jeanette attended the Sang Lee Intnl 3 Cushion event at Carom Cafe going on this week today and the two played a friendly round of 8 ball, ending right at 8PM. There were as many spectators watching this match as the tournament.

TB seemed to get slightly the best of it but i only caught maybe 6 games of it. Jeanette seemed to be pain free and hitting them a bit better than usual.

Nostroke,
Too cool. I've never seen any of the top billiards players play pocket games; but I know that JL always draws a crowd. Is JL playing in the billiards event; and if so how is she doing??? I did recently see a Blomdahl-Jaspers 3-cushion match in which Blomdahl was VERY impressive.

I didn't know you were also a billiards fan - you have way too much time on your hands. I guess I'll get back to WORK now. Let us know what you see.

Yeah-Im not the biggest Billiard fan but i have friends who are so i thought i'd drop by. It's ony 25 minutes (and $4.50 in tolls) away.

Someone said there is a tape of Efren getting beat by Blomdahl in 9 Ball. (ask him Willie) but i dont know the details and ill beleve it when i see it.

I dont think Jeanette is playing but i could as always be wrong. Here is the link to the 'player page' but i cant open the list because Adobe crashes my computer.

Jeanette is not playing this time. She just dropped by to say hi and help adding some nice glows to the event. She was hanging happily with fans even though this is not a pool tournament. What a lovely lady.

Here is one of last night's game I was drawing this right next to Dave on a slightly raised platform.

(this version is from memory, I have the exact layout in my laptop at home)

I have been contemplating recently how angle changes to differnent "object ball" speed (not necessarily just pocketing speed). I noticed Blomdahl is very good at that, the least amount of effort used in every shot while holding perfect forms, with his cue ball controlled by the mms. A lot of the times the ball would slowly roll up to the pocket, hang out for a second or two and then drop. If there is a chance I'd like to see him play a game of one pocket. (He did a few simple bank in their match too)

They didn't keep any score for the match (maybe just kept to themselves)

Btw, remember this practice shot in the Semih's Practice thread?

Bank 1

I saw blomdahl practicing a variation of the same shot at a different time last night, he was also practicing on his own after a few social games

Blomdahl's variation
