Hi, I'm going to look at this table in person later today, but would like to research it online if I can. Can anyone give me an idea of what brand table this is? Thanks for any input...

Without closer photo's I couldn't swear to it however, it looks similar to tables called American Gothic or Gotham's. NOT good tables and some actually had 1/4" slate not much thicker than chalk boards. Try to get better pictures if you can for better ID.

Thanks for the heads up; like I said I'm going to see it later today hopefully and I will be able to read any ID labels or plates, see closer detail, etc. I would definitely never buy anything with 1/4" slate... at that point, it seems like they're just marketing that it is, technically, a slate table.

It is a Steepleton oversize 8' table, with all 4 rail ashtrays. Pretty beat up, a good deal for somebody at $150 but I am looking for a pool table that looks good enough to be in a brightly lit room. This one needs a lot more than rails and cloth.

Rob,

No sir, I'm not in the Dallas TX area... Dallas is my name. I'll be in the Augusta GA area, and would like to find a nice 9' table nearby. If I knew anything about setting up a move from somewhere 500 or more miles away, it would help a lot. there are some steals that I've seen here on the forum and on Ebay lately.
