It takes thin plywood to extend the rails.
Your butcher chose thicker pocket facings instead.

But I do not have thick facings. How exactly did you become so knowledgeable about my table, did you modify it?

Who said anything about "Diamondizing a GC"? Then I guess I need to settle for my gaffed GC, it sure plays nice compared to one with thick facings and incorrect miters though.

I think you lost the plot on this one. My Gold Crown I has modified sub-rail angles for current cushions, proper pocket miters, and sub-rails extended with wood for 4 3/8" corner openings.
