Table rental/usage agreement help.?

Hello all,
I could use advice from someone with experience on this matter. I have 4-8 foot valley stored in my Garage waiting to find a location to put them for my own private room but that isn't working out yet. A new Bar restaurant locally just opened and they are pool friendly actually excited about it and trying to get going on the scene. They have whatever brand Rented from a company tables that are less then great ok the tables are bad. Carpet felt and level issues, Now I am willing to work out a deal and put some of my tables in there. I know local mechanics and could set up some best case scenario Valley tables. What I don't know is what type of deal to make. I don't need to get rich but gaining money over losing is my priority while maintaining the tables and so forth. Thoughts or suggestions, please and thank you!

Kiss them goodbye if being rented but expect that or hopefully make enough money to cover profit..the maintenance/repairs. Try talking to RKC... he might have some good info for you.

50/50 split. Just be prepared for them being being beat to shit when you take em back. You might look into vending laws too. You may have to get licensed 'cause technically vending is what you're doing.
 
In public things are going to get destroyed, Especially in a bar. I wouldn't rent the table i would sell them the table. What happens if they don't pay for a few months?
 
-They are already used but still decent: I got a very good deal on them and in our area. With so many Diamonds going in Valley tables are not too hard to find and talk a deal on. So I am ok with whatever happens to the tables but yes there should be agreement on Maintenance
- If they don't pay for a few months or the agreement breakdown like anything I would dissolve the relationship and remove the tables.
- I have core group of local players 25-35 people Who would hub these tables. For league and tournaments, So I know they really want a couple decent valleys nice rails and cloth. We do not have Diamonds in our town yet.
- I looked into the Vending thing if it did take off or become a ongoing relationship, I would likely need to make it legit.
- Thanks for the replies gentleman, I am not even sure if this will happen, just wanted to be somewhat prepared if it did as we are going to discussing tournament setups with the owners soon.

The bar benefits from good quality tables...and even better if you pay to maintain them. Good luck and I commend you taking the venture. You'll learn from this... I think the key is promoting the room.. the tables.. if money is coming everyone is happy.
Maybe vending is the way to go. Start with one place and grow/expand if it’s working.

If you're putting them into a bar, you can't really nitpick them. They will just call the local vending company and kick you out at the first sign of hassle

Also you will probably piss off the local vending company, be ready for that
 
Have you thought about just putting the table in and just giving them a cut of the take? I don't know how it works in the pool table world, but I think vending deals range all the way from venue rents and keeps all the money from the machine to vendor pays venue and keeps all the money from the machine. There's a big range.

Yep, plus vending co's are often owned by guys with vowels at the end of their names if you catch my drift. They can be a tad 'dickish' with rogue outfits.

Temple University had/has food trucks on the street. The unofficial policy …this is my spot. One vendor left a “lead” note on the side on a competitors food truck asking not to park on his spot. It was a polite request.

If you have ''coin op'' tables it could work, but if they are not... I'd get a monthly amount guarantee and at the end he'd own em.

I was referring to more traditional vending outfits like those that supply bars/clubs. They aren't real 'competitor friendly' usually. Back when there were cig machines/pinball/pool/jukes there bars blown up/burned here in Okla. by warring vendors. Not like that anymore but its still a kinda 'edgy' business.

The “lead”note on the truck. They got shot at when vacant. A little bit of intimidation

I would let the bar terminate their contract and have the pool tables now in their bar removed before installing yours. 50/50 split as was posted earlier and expect to spend money on maintaining the table.
