Table roll

When I slow roll balls (in the same direction) on opposing long rails, the balls roll away from the rails toward the center of the table. In other words, the balls on the left rail run out to the right and balls on the right rail run out to the left. This is on a 9' table that was installed about 18 months ago and has rolled perfectly until now.

Can this problem be corrected by table leveling, or is it a sign that the slates themselves need leveling? Or both?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What brand/model of table is it, and how old is it?

The problem could be slate sag in the middle of the table which would have to be corrected by releveling the slate and ideally reinforcing the frame to prevent further sag.

It could also be build-up of dust/debris under the rails that the balls are hitting if you're rolling right at the rails.

I believe you have identified the problem. This is a table that I built myself in 2009. It is extremely robust and I built in a lot of rigidity, but perhaps the frame has sagged. The table sits on concrete which is more than 30 years old, so I don't think it's a foundation problem.

How would you recommend I go about releveling the slates? The slate seams are filled with beeswax. Can I ever so carefully jack up the center sections and put shims (plastic machine builder shims or playing cards which the original installer used). Or, should I start releveling at some other point?

Thank you for your input and any further help you can give me.
