If you go to a place that sells pool tables, they do it all the time. Don't know if it's fine for the tables to do that, but I've seen that in every store.
This is in D&L Billiards in RI, I'm guessing if they do it, it's OK.
Manufacturing a table with a wooden top is the logical way to go
when placing a pool table in a showroom.
Often times a company will move their products around inside their store
so as to keep inventory rotating and their showroom layout "fresh." (more common sense).
They can even save space by 'stacking" them. (even more common sense)
Who wants to have to keep moving slated tables around a room for nothing more than keeping track of product? Not me.
