Table work for user id emf123

My stuff!!!

Ron has been great to work with and I can't wait until it's finished. I'm definitely looking forward to some improved playing conditions.

I assume he just wanted the table tightened up alittle with the reangle of the rubber only then you added thick facings? Why not extened the subrail the right way since you are already installing new rubber with the recover this way you can controll the the angle better in the pictures were the facings go it looks like a shallow v or a cup are you going to back fill it or hope the facing wont take the contour, of the 2 angles. It could be camera distortion but it looks like an 1\8" gap from the featherstrip to the point of the rubber. Everything else looks real good and nice.

You changed the angle 5 deg. what was the angle when you first started was it 53 or 51 deg angle. Did you keep the 12 deg down angle on the rubber or just squared it off, hard to till in the picture.

Donnie, yes the angle was changed to 147 in the corners. I spoke with Eric and gave him the options of subrails, two facings or changing the angle five degrees. Eric chose to change the angle five degrees to tighten the pockets. After all it was another expense. As far as the gap goes, it was filled with pieces of facing, that was cut off and trimmed. I have built subrails before and i like doing it that way, but some people do not want to go through that hassel and extra money.
Being that this table is a drop pocket and more of a furniture style table. I like what eric decided. After all it saved me alot of labor.

Those must have been huge pockets to begin with. What kind of table is that? How does the 147 angles play compared to standard angles?

table

Brunswick Artesian. ya the pockets were big. I will let Eric talk, and he will let you know how it plays. I am going back this Saturday to finish it up.
Thanks, LCCS BILLIARDS

Cool Cool I had a few customers that wanted it down the same way the way you did it. It looks like it came out real nice I just wasnt sure if I was realy seeing a gap but it was and you fixed it right this table should play real good.

Keep up the good work,

Craig

u-guy's take a lot of pride in your jobs. Having my own recovering business in Atlanta, taking pride in my work as well. Wish a lot of guy's out there doing recover jobs took as much as you people do. Donnie from s.d. u do very nice work!!! As u all do!!! The 5 degree toe in on the cushions will make shots from the center of the table tighter to pocket but, shooting down the rail the shot will be a lot easier to pocket. All depends on the pocket angle u start with. Maybe the table specs were wrong to start, the 5 degree change may have made the table perfect, just hope the facings don't damage from pocketing balls. Really nice work for what u were ask to do.
