Following my recent sign up here at AZB forum I'd like to introduce you to one of my hobby projects called "TableFinder": An app for iOS/Apple devices that allows you to find places to play billiards worldwide.
Since I've played billiards actively for over 10 years, I experienced this problem numerous times myself. You're on a leisure or business trip in an unknown city and want to play pool somewhere - of course, you don't know where to go. Especially if you are looking for snooker or carom tables, this becomes an even more difficult task, because such tables are not very common and are rarely offered by billiard establishments.
TableFinder uses the current location of the smartphone to find billiards locations in your surroundings. With a filter, the result can be narrowed down according to the type of table (pool billiards, snooker or carom). A detailed view of the location shows the most important information and offers getting immediate directions. In addition, a search function allows you to search in other locations if you would like to get information in advance. Every user can also add additional locations including table counts in the app. This way the database grows and the search will provide better results for future users.
The app is aimed at both casual players and professionals who enjoy playing billiards. You can download and try it for free in the AppStore:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id991893741
(requires iOS 13.5 or later)
You can also find more information on the project website:
http://bit.ly/33RWBLG
The app is now around for a couple of years and contains approx. 1'400 locations in 15 countries. Most of them are located in Europe but with the support and contribution of the community here at AZB I can see this count growing for the US too!
I'm very excited about your feedback on the project and wish you a lot of fun finding new billiards venues. If you like the idea (which I think you do, if you have read this far  ), you are more than welcome to rate the app and share it with others!
Have a great day and stay healthy!
All the best,
Phil
