Hello,

After the passing of Tad Kohara how much have his or Fred's cues appreciated in value?

I ask this after seeing this miltered point hoppe model on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/TAD-CUE-/191206040361?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c84c4a329 asking over $4000?

These are fairly low models by Tad and I have one in my collection. Is the cue just ridiculously over priced or is there a market demand at the moment to pay these prices?

TAD Hoppe

I bought and sold one like this about 2 years ago for $2800 each way. $4 G looks high. Realize Fred has been making cue for sometime. The ornate, TAD TADs should have risen
 
Tad Hoppe cues

You can probably find one for around $2300 - $2400. For some reason this model doesn't get nearly as much respect as the fancy ones or even the plain janes. Some of the latter types with fancy butts and no points go for more than the Hoppes.
 
I had a similar TAD that was a Titlist, sold it for about $2,300.00

I think that one is 40% too high, as might be the owner!!
