lots of great cue makers have been talked about in here, but i have not seen Tad's name come up. i play with a '82 tad that is the best hitting cue i own. what is the general opinion of Tad's cues. i am just wondering
My very first custom cue was a TAD.
I bought it brand new for $45 !!!!!!! back in the 60's...
He had just moved his shop from up on Washington Ave in LA, out to Orange County near Knotts Berry Farm. The way I played at the time, everyone in my local room said the same , "Are you nuts buying a TAD, you don't play good enough!" But they all agreed it was a great cue! About the only other cue maker in LA at that time was Ginacue, and I got one of those too!(it was about $80) Had them both until I ended up with my new Kersenbrocks (1976-77) which I have had ever since! Gave my TAD to my best friend who still has it and sold the GINACUE!
Go to the weekly Hard Times tourneys and you will still see many TAD's..
