Hello all!
I recently picked up this Tad Kohara Cue from the original owner. He’s as older gentleman in his 70s. I have documentation from him. He believes he bought it sometime between 72-76. I’m looking to gauge the value of it. I’ve got a lot of information from the owner as well as confirmations on details from a few other forums, as well as cue makers in my area.
Details
Early to Mid 70s Tad Kohara Cue
Made to a custom order of Birdseye Maple.
The Serial # is in the 200s
(72-76)
19oz
2 Shafts 13 1/2MM
Ivory Ferruls
Original French Champion Leather Tips (Confirmed Originals with Red pads)
It was made by Tad Sr. In Stanton, Ca with the Original Case.
It is a beautiful cue, but currently trying to decide if it’s something that I want to shoot with, keep as a collection piece, or sell. Thank you for your input.
If you have an approximation of value, that would be much appreciated!
