Ko Pin Yi
Ko Ping-Chung
Yu-Hsuan Cheng
Jung-Lin Chang

I am trying to find information about the above players, who are currently in the U.S. - They will be appearing on my live stream in July, and I would love to have the appropriate bio info on these guys.

Can anyone share their knowledge or pertinent links?

Thanks!

I only watched Yu-Hsuan play a little bit today, but man was I super impressed.

If you can get him on a stream I'll definitely buy.

Ko Pin-Yi and Chang Jung-Lin fought and went hill-hill in last year's Japan Open. here's the final rack, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9O6jXQCeGY

also they represented their country in the World Cup of Pool. Team Philippines eliminated them in the semis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpQByp09jow

Ko Ping-Chung easily won his 1st 3 matches yesterday at the world 9-ball. first match was 7-1; 2nd was 7-2. third match he faced Filipino, Elmer Haya and still won 7-5.
see how he fought dennis orcollo last year in japan open, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeuKtbceeKc

You might want to trust any links over personal knowledge. ..just saying.

Hopefully the info below will help you (player surname capitalized; former spelling is romanization styled in Taiwan; latter spelling is romanization (Pinyin) styled in China; in parenthesis are names in traditional Chinese characters) -

KO Pin-Yi (柯秉逸), or KO Bingyi
KO Pin-Chung (柯秉中), or KO Bingzhong
CHENG Yu-Hsuan (鄭喻軒), or ZHENG Yuxuan
CHANG Jung-Lin (張榮麟), or ZHANG Ronglin

You can copy & paste these Chinese characters into Google to get more data, perhaps with the help of Google Translate or I can also assist with translation.

It's awesome that you'll be streaming some of their games in the States... Care to share details of where and when? :-)

Ko Pin Yi
Ko Ping-Chung
Yu-Hsuan Cheng
Jung-Lin Chang

ko pin yi is a multiple junior world 9 ball champion, i think he won 3 and his younger brother ko pin chung won last year. chang jung lin dominated the guinness tour some yrs ago and also won world 8 ball.

I have a friend that is good friends with all of them. I can put you in touch with him and he can answer all your questions. He will be traveling with the Taiwanese players when they come here this summer.

His English is quite good --- and what he doesn't know he can use his electronic translator quickly to figure it out.

Ko Pin Yi has won 2 World Junior titles . Also won 2 All Japan
He is famous for winning 11 consecutive racks to win Thailand Open when Orcullo was on hill leading 14-4
Ko and Chang are with Bugsy , the same stable as Orcullo

Oh one more thing... they all play with South West cues, if anyone is interested to know... :-)

South West is super popular in Taiwan among pro players, men or women alike.

Thank you for this information, Klone and everyone else. Please keep it coming. As of today, these four players are confirmed for the Hard Times Bellflower 10-ball event, happening July 11-13th.

Here's the press release on it http://www.povpool.com/5000-added-hard-times-10-ball-gears-up-for-action/

Please tell a friend.

Unfortunately for the Taiwanese contingent - and the rest of the field, I have heard from reputable sources that a couple of undercover monsters from NY and AZ will be taking this one down and then staying around to rob all comers.

Lmao, man that's funny. I hope those undercover monsters are real that they can rob that field of players, so I can tell them how stupid they are not going to rob EVERYTHING in any tourney in the world, they should've be millionaire playing tourney. Or maybe they are already millionaire gambling in NY :p.
Don't know how in the world people think that someone will believe them when they bring up this kind of BS.

Anyway, here some infos for you :

chang jung lin :
Former world 8 ball champion
Multiple winner of the Japan Open

ko pin yi:
3x world junior champion
Multiple winner of the japan open
Winner of the guiness tour final ( beating svb in the finals )

Ko ping chung:
Reigning world junior champion
Regning taiwan 9 ball champion ( beating chang jung lin in the semi and ko pin yi in the final )

Chen yu hsuan ( kevin cheng )
3rd place in taiwan 9 ball champion ( lost to ko pin yi in the semi)
Winner of the last White Diamond

I would add "multiple winner of the San Miguell/Guinness Asian 9 Ball Tour" to Chang's resume. He won four legs in a row once, and that is against some of the best players in the world at the time.
