Take note of Jeanette Lee during TV match

Time the set the record straight in this thread. Anyone out there who thinks that Jeanette Lee has succeeded because of her beauty alone should take note of the fact that she's a workaholic by nature.

Since we're straightening the record , please note that I never said or thought that Lee doesn't have game. She certainly does, and her worth ethic is admirable as well but none of that has anything to do with my opinion of her as an irritating person.

That's JL being delusional about her skills.

BUT, I think she overcame that blindspot in the last year and realised that Allison/Karen are simply better players, and if she were to have a chance at #1 again she would have to elevate her game, and she did. She is taking nothing for granted, checking all her angles, improved her CB speed, upped the practice time etc.

maybe partially, but a female player who is 50 ounds over weight and not too attractive who doesn't wear low cut shirts with push up bras, but has just as much "work ethic" still wouldn't receive as much air time, attention, endorsements etc. not a knock on her personally, just the way the world is

They still have to reach the TV finals as often as she does on their own strong play. She doesn't get bumped there for her looks, but from kicking butts. (Fat or skinny)

My post wasn't directed at you, Buddha, and I can certainly accept the fact that you don't like her style. All I'm saying is that I think the image she tries so zealously to project is the one she believes help both her sport and herself to the max. In her case, I'd have to say so far so good.

...If she feels her flashiness, animation and sexuality help popularize the pro pool product, so what --- no player of our generation has brought more positive attnetion to pro pool than Jeanette. She has succeeded because she has a great a work ethic as any woman that has ever played professional pool. We should celebrate, rather than bemoan, the fact that she's as passionate about raising the profile of professional pool as she is about winning tournaments. ...

As usual you have described the situation with utmost clarity. Every pool player, male or female, better give Jeanette a big kiss the next time they see her because she is by far the best thing pro pool has going for it.
