Yes, 1990. It's as rare as a Richard Harris cue can get as it's the very first cue Richard ever made with points. So there is no confusion or misunderstanding about exactly what the cue is, I'll quote Richard directly from an email...
"Your cue is the first pointed cue I made. Plus, it is one of only 2, 4 point custom cues I ever made."
And...
"I made less than a dozen cues with that joint pin."
The cue was recently refinished and rewrapped by Richard himself. Now, it's as good as brand new, and yes, the butt rolls perfectly. The cue comes with the same 2 original shafts that sold with the cue in 1990. However, neither shaft is perfect. Both have slight wobbles, and one shaft has damaged threads. The damaged threads will tighten down onto the butt, it just takes several extra twists that it shouldn't take.
The cue consists of a BEM forearm, 4 rosewood points with a series of red, dark green, red, dark green veneers around each point and an ebony butt. And as mentioned above, it's his very first pointed cue, so no, the finished points are not all exactly the same length. The joint pin is 3/8-11, however it is 1.25" long, whereas every other Blue Grass cue will have the same 1.125" pin that he uses today.
I'm looking to sell this fairly quickly, pm or post offers/questions asap.

Edit: Joint pin is 3/8-11; not 3/8-10.
