taking out sold or old postings

This may have to go into the forsale section, but is there a way to clear out old post's that are sold or no longer to be posted? thanks tim

If it's your post, you can go back and edit it, including full erasure, but there is no way to remove the thread other than contacting the mod. I wish asking prices were left in and the threads left for searching. That would give people some market value trending information. With out that, secondary market cue sales are the equivalent of "poke and hope" pool.

I always post my items "SOLD" in the first post of any Wanted For Sale thread. A lot of others do too.

I agree. I understand there are times when people would like the selling price not known in public, but that mostly for high end items. I try to usually leave my price in my old thread, so others have some kind of reference. I do not always do it though. It would be helpful to know if someone just sold a cue after 3 weeks for $100 less then you were thinking of listing the same cue for.

It would also be nice to be able to completely erase old thread with no helpful info for others. There is a nice long thread in the wanted/for sale section right now about clutter and having sub-sections. Maybe this could be the first step.
