Sorry my fellow azers, but I won`t be too active for a week or 2.
Just spent the evening at the ER with my 90 yr old father.
He`s having some heart issues that need to be addressed quickly, so I may not be able to respond
to PM`s for a little bit. Taking care of him is more important for me right now.
Thanks for understanding
Jeff

Did the same thing with my dear old dad. He was 93 and went to the ER. They kept him for five days. Heart valve issues. Finally sent him home with meds. Three weeks later he died in a house fire at age 94. Not sure how the fire started but we assume it was heart related. Smoke inhalation was the official cause of death.

Good luck to you and your dad pooldawg8.

We will keep him and you in our prayers jeff.

Pooldawg8,
This took another twist for me today. As I was driving in town today some idiot pulled out right in front of me and we collided. Fortunately it was in an area where 35mph was the limit. I have a sore shoulder and a scrape on my leg but I walked away. Once I collected my senses I called 9-1-1. And I was even able to drive my truck home although there's quite a bit of damage.

Just shows how quickly it can happen. Enjoy your time with your dad.

Thanks for the warm wishes my azb family, much appreciated.
My Dad had a Pacemaker put in this afternoon and is doing a lot better than when he went in the ER last night.
Thanks again for everyone`s well wishes.

Shit’s scary. Remember when you were little and you thought your dad was invincible?

It’s hard to realize they aren’t. Even if you know better.

We always think that we have more time. I can fix the mistakes of yesterday. But time is a finite resource.

I pray you get a little more with your dad and let him know he is loved

When there are more miles in your rear view mirror than remain to still be driven,
your outlook about life changes. As you add mileage going down life’s highway,
soon you start to wonder just how many more exits do you have left before yours.

The morale is simple. Life can be shorter than we think so take nothing for granted.
