Talisman Pro Medium Tips

Just put one on my shaft and shot with it today for 4 1/2 hours solid. More runs than I could shake a stick at. The tip holds more chalk and feels much, much harder than a LePro. More inportantly, the Talisman gives better control (follow, draw and accuracy) than ever before. Look out Efren.

troy will chime in "yeah there the best" hey troy (where is my free trial pro medium tip?) anyhow, the problem with all laminated tips, is they wear funny, and eventually will play poorly, report back in 2 months.

I played with the same Soft Talisman Pro for more than 15 months. It never, "wore funny" or "played poorly". I replaced the tip only because it became too hard for my likes.

Troy...~~~ What makes you think you deserve a free tip ???

I was playing with a lepro for years. I then played with morri for a year and the tip held up just fine. I have had a Talisman now on for 4 months and again no problems. Bernie, if what you say is true, then explain why all of the pros are using morris and talismans. Could it be you are not a pro and as usualy are all wet. Why would any body ever listen to a single thing you ever say. What I see is what ever you say, the opposite is true every time.
Bernie, consider taking up pitching horse shoes, something simple you can understand.

There are plenty of laminated tips on the market, I've played with 2 or 3 not mentioned here and they played just fine.

Somebody tell me which of the laminted they thinks plays best, the pig skin or the water buffalo.
Would you rather have a thick tip like Morri or a thinner tip like others out there.

Hey Silencer:

You suck any good cock lately? Otherwise get the $%#* out of MY thread, please.

a long time ago, i posted here, saying i was dissopointed with moori, and you said, look i'll send you a free medium tailisman pro, to try, and you'll see.

I can't speak more highly of the Talisman tips. I had one on one of my cues for 2 yrs and it required absolutely no maintenance and wore evenly. Every now and then I would gently pin it but never scuffed it. Great!

I don't recall saying that to any one, and certainly not to you !!!
However, if you can back up your statement with proof I will stand by it.
But you won't like it 'cuz "layered tips wear funny and play poorly".

Troy...~~~ As they say, the ball is now in your court.

I have been using Talisman for over 3 years now and I will never use any other kind. They are the best tip I have ever used and only after a very long period of time do they get hard. I put on tips on the side but business is down because everyone uses Talisman now and because they last so long I never get any business LOL They blow Mooris out of the water and are far less expensive.

I have head, oh- oops, I mean heard...

Why is it that I have read tip-piks are death of the layered tip? I can't make moori, sumo, tiger hold chalk w/ out roughing the surface and have both the pik & ultimate tool. In my experience, dome-shaped scuffers leave the tips 'hairy', suggesting that the scuffer is not working on only one layer...

Free tips to all the AZ folks! Businessess should not seek to profit from their ventures. That's just silly talk (and now it is my thread)!!!

I use a tapper mostly, and on occasion use a domed scuffer.

IMO, talisman tips are kinda like everlasting gobstoppers. In a funny way they’ve hurt their own business.

Try using a tip tapper, but DON'T tap, just roll the tip across it to apply some knurling to the surface. It will hold chalk w/o damage to the tip.

FWIW, I've used Talisman Hard WB tips on all my shafts for a couple of years. I brush the chalk on LIGHTLY before every shot (part of my pre-shot routine) and havn't had any problems getting the Talismans to hold chalk. Some of my friends tend to chalk with a lot of pressure and their tips have a glazed, almost polished appearance. HTH,

Tip Pics® are bad for layered tips 'cuz they put tiny pin holes in the top surface which weakens the adheive. You might try a bit of 150 grip sandpaper to lightly scuff the tip with a tapper but without tapping -- just roll the tip across.

Troy...~~~ No comment on "free tips to all"... :)

I also roll the tip tapper instead of using a scuffer. I've got Moori on 2 shafts and a Talisman on the 3rd. They all play good if you dont let them get too hard. Sam

I bought 5 talisman tips off Troy and never even got to try them!! Friends needed tips so i just helped everyone else out. I will probably order a few more to try soon. I have been using tiger snipers and am now trying a tiger medium tip, but it seems to me they wear too quick. I am going through 1 every 3 months!!! I've been told it is because i chalk too much and too hard, but i cant break the habit!! I did hit with a talisman Medium WB tip that i put on my dads cue and didnt like how it hit. I think it is more of an aquired taste, i could probably get used to one if i used it enough. Troy, do you still have buy 3 get 1 free and then another free one for EPT members? And a free towel? You enticed me last time with that offer it would be cool if your still running it.

Sorry Skater, but you must be referring to Tony Jones of Talisman Billiards, www.talismanbilliards.com. While I do have Talisman Pro tips for sale, I'm way too small an operation to be offering free-bees along with tips.

Troy...~~~ I'm not Tony Jones... :) He's in Thailand

Step up "Burned out" Bernie, show us the post you claim I made.
You really should learn something about this wonderful game.
And you really should remain SILENT !!!

Talisman Tips

Haven't you guys figured out yet that Bernie doesn't even deserve a responce to his ignorant posts. The poor guy must not have a life and he sure as hell doesn't know anything about pool. Ignore him long enough and he may just go away.
I have been putting and playing with Talisman tips for years. No problem.
Don P.
