I have had some of these tips for years and havent tried them yet,was just trying to get some feedback on them. They are the talisman medium layered tips.

I think they are good tips. I have used both the pig skin and the cow hide ones. Personally I prefer the cowhide. I have also put about 20 of these tips on for other people and everyone but one person liked them.

Pro's:
They hold there shape very well. (as most layered tips do)
I have never had one delaminate
They hold chalk very well at every stage of hardness.
Low cost compared to most layered tips of their quality.

Cons
the hard pigskin ones make a sound I don't care for (higher pitched "ting" kind of sound but still not bad)

They come pre-shaped which could be considered a pro or a con depending on your point of view- I like it myself.

All in all I think they make a great product at a fair price. The owner is pretty cool to.

the good ones are f'n great. but you might go through a few before you get one that doesn't delaminate. i had two good ones and they lasted over a year. played great the entire time. just the right amount of bounce and they held chalk and never glazed over.

if you don't mind going through a few to get a great one they're worth it for sure. i gave up and found a few others that i like as much.

These tips were all i shot with for a while until i was tired of blowing money on bad ones so then i switched to kamui medium and havent looked back. Maybe I was getting the bad ones.. but it seemed a ratio of 3 bad to 1 good. sometimes you thought youd found a good one and then the layers would start to seperate and ting.

Does anybody know a specific place you can buy good ones?

i don't know about where to get good ones but the talisman website has a pretty good deal on 3 playing and 1 bk tip.

after playing with them for a while and being happy wit the tip only to hear them start to tink and delaminate is so frustrating.
