I have revived a couple of free tables and created a Frankenstein table from 3 different tables. Glen was very generous with his knowledge and that saved me time and trouble in my table rebuilds.

I called him a few months back about a question on recovering and releveling. He returned my call very quickly and not only fully answered my questions, but gave me some other great tips. Talking to him direct is not like what you sometimes hear and see on the internet. He's really a great person that wants to help, I was really impressed. Yes he's opinionated, but has the credentials to be so. Only thing I can say is allow a little more time than you expect for the phone call as he likes to talk. I really didn't want to take up so much of his time but he wanted to give me all the info he thought I needed, and just wanted to talk some. Wish he lived closer to me, I have a real respect for him now. I also thank him for his time.
You contacted RKC... because you are having the same issues with the Diamond as you did with the Gold Crown? It's not a table problem.

Great guy. He walked me through leveling my Diamond after the hacks who delivered it messed it up. We chatted for about 30-45 minutes after the job was done.

When I used the ball measuring method my pockets appeared to be too tight. I talked to RKC about it. When I contacted Diamond they recommended I use a tape measure. And when I used the tape measure it appears they are indeed correct. Point to point with the tape measure they are 4.75 and 5 inches.
So, no problems. No hacks for mechanics. The two guys were very good. In the end I guess I learned something here.

You’ll enjoy the table. I’m still asking to see how the pockets are covered. If you do reply the pockets will widen up. Your break shots will fail….,,, edit; 4.75 pockets are ideal
Space is free. Will Diamond do a sub 4" but shallower pocket?

Not going to insult, but feel compelled to ask if you weren't using a tape measure what the heck were you using?
As I said, the ball measuring system.
I placed two balls in the pockets up against the facings. They had about 1/8 of an inch to spare. Which led me to believe they were not 4.75 inch pockets. Same way with the side pockets.
Didn't think so. No biggie. I'm only concerned with the pool.
Lack the space or the scratch too; speaking of free space...

Missed that, honestly had no idea there was something called "the ball measuring system". At least you got some help.
But the sides aren't 4.75? Is the "system" more of a "two balls and eyeball"?
