I'm making another trek to the Tampa area Sept 19th thru the 26th. I looked around and didn't see any tournaments wether it be open or other anywhere near those dates. Does anyone know of any yet? Also how long of a drive is Hammerheads from say the Tampa airport?Mapquest doesn't figure in the traffic in Tampa. Waldo's if you read this I may come over for a day to say hi to my sister so I'll stop in and maybe we can get a few games in Jimmy.
Thanks in advance for all the replies

There are several weekly tourneys that pay pretty decent. My favorite is Strokers in Palm Harbor on Weds night at 7. It will take a good 45 mins or so to get to Hammerheads but its worth the drive. Their tournament is on Tuesday Night I believe. Both of these are open tournaments.

Good Luck

Strokers has a 'B' & 'C' Nineball tournament on Monday and an Open nineball tournament on Wednesday.

Hammer Heads Billiards has a 'handicapped' 9-ball tournament on Monday.
An Open 9-Ball tournament on Tuesday. An 8-Ball tournament on Thursday and a 'short rack' 8-Ball tournament on Friday (racked lik 9-ball except with the 8 in the middle). Wednesday is LEAUGE NIGHT...

Fatso's has a Sunday 9-ball tournament.

Planet 9-Ball has a 9-ball tournament on Thursdays.

( I will not be at any of these tournaments.... unless I'm drunk and don't know where I am ) :)

I'm Glad That I Can Still Do 'SOMETHING'

thanks for the info guys. Can I ask why you know all about the tournys but don't play in them?

Certainly. I used to play. I love pool. Health issues have me sidelined. I know all the local players and I still like to sweat pool ( occasionally).
My interests now are in playing poker and playing poker at a table full of poolplayers tops the list. (I like the table talk)

Tennessee, I think you could see my cards from where you were sitting. David Broxton too.
