I live 1.5 miles down the street from Stroker's II. I don't really like it as much as Stroker's (1) in Clearwater, or Hammerheads, but those two are too far for me to go.

Unfortunately, I don't have a table of my own. Wanted to get one, tried to figure out a way to fit one in my place, but there's just no room. :sorry: Hence I'm stuck with playing at billiard halls. But I'm game (pun intended!) just about anytime. My GF has been a real PITA about my playing, but honestly, don't know how much longer we'll be together anyway. SHe's got some serious issues....like buying $400+ worth of stuff from Victoria's Secret yesterday, then complaining when *I* wouldn't put gas in her car, which she only uses to drive to work. 
She thinks it's my job to pay for everything, and it's her job to spend her money on clothes. It was cute at first....now it's just annoying.

I'm horrible with directions, so to make it easy: I live on the "Tampa" side of Stroker's 2. When I go there, I'm driving toward Clearwater, and have to make a U-turn at the light to get into the parking lot. Sometimes my son goes with me, but more often than not, I go by myself, and I'm always looking for a game (no gambling, I mean just for the sport of it. If I want to gamble, it'll save us both a lot of time and energy if I just handed you my wallet to start with.)
I was up there for league night last week, was playing some 9-ball with my son. The league seemed pretty big, and I knew a few people from Stroker's in Clearwater, but no idea to whom I'd speak with about playing in league. Still not sure I could commit the time anyway, though I'd like to.

by the way, the area of Tampa you live in is refered to as baycrest I believe.

Hi guys, I've just joined the group. I play mainly at Park Place in Clearwater and I'm in the straight pool league at Strokers and a mixed 8 & 9 Ball league at CM's.

Dawg: Actually, I'm in Town 'N Country, at least that's what my GF tells me. She knows all the areas for whatever reason. :boring2: The place I'm living at is gated, called "Gallery at Bayport II", on Harborside Drive (which is right off W Hillsborough Ave.) Where in Carrollwood do you play? Stroker's 2 is alright, but I've been looking for different place. I liked Stroker's in Clearwater better, just a smaller place that had more of a "friendly hometown place" to it. Stroker's 2 is more like a nightclub-type place, what with the bullrides and stage and bikini contests and stuff.
Grampa, I've played at Park Place; decent tables, but just didn't get a good feel from the place. I almost joined the straight pool leage @ Stroker's in Clearwater, but knew I was moving and wouldn't be out that way, so I didn't. :sorry:

I play almost exclusively in the daytime, and Park Place opens early. During the day it's usually quiet and there's very little smoke. They have a large league presence and I understand it's very busy & smokey at night.
The league at CM's in Seminole is great from a format perspective and the people are great too. Ray Martin plays on one of the teams and it's pretty cool to play an ex world champion. It's too smokey for me, though, and this might be my last season.
You're right about Strokers in Palm Harbor, a great place, friendly staff, best tables south of Hammerhead's, but it's twice as far from my home as PP so I only go there for my straight pool matches and an occasional visit.

How are you doing in the league?
BayCrest or BayPort are just what us locals call your area, technically it is in T&C (the edge).
Town 'n' Country census boundaries contain separate communities of Bay Crest Park, Countryway, Rocky Creek, Sweetwater Creek, and Town 'n' Country.
I play in Carrollwood, at a place called the Breakroom, it's about 15 minutes from you. It's a dive with 12 big tables. Let me know if/when you want to play.
