Does anyone here know what happened to this guy? ? ? A friend of mine told me Tang has been spending a lot more time on the blackjack and Hold'em tables than on the pool tables.

I have'nt seen or heard a peep out of him in years..did he give it up completely?

You know funny thing about pool players..and I think that what I am about to say may start another thread but the truth is..Pool players make the worst card players..need an example?..try Mark Tadd/BillyCress/CliffJoyner/LilJonMacias/Ronnie Wiseman/Scott Frost etc.

Bucktooth and Amarillo Slim(and he's really a card player) are the only two I can think of that plays cards decent..and maybe Cole Dickson

So once again..what's the scoop on Tang? anyone from the west coast know him?

I know him....hahahahaha. He was at my house earlier today. Long story short, Tang did quite well at Poker, QUITE WELL!!! He has been playing pool again for more than a year, 5th place at the 2005 U.S. Open, 2nd place in this year's Jay Swanson Memorial among other notable successes. He has been the house pro at Hollywood Billiards in Los Angeles for several months now. He gives lessons there a couple of days a week.

Tang is ready to play money games in 9-Ball or One Pocket if the situation should arise. HE WILL PLAY! But he still depends primarily on Poker for his income. And that's Tang's story in a nutshell.

Don't know what you mean. We seem to see him at all the current pool tournaments lately.

Thx Jay..I guess maybe because I'm not on the west coast anymore..I'm no longer in the know..glad 2 here he's still playing..if he's close to the speed he was last time I saw him..He would'nt have to look far for a backer in Louisiana.:cool:

Hey Jay,

i played poker for a living for about 3-4 months playing strictly 9-18 and 15-30 LHE in LA and surrounding indian casino's. If you dont mind saying, im curious as to what games and limits tang plays?
 
He is ready for action thats for sure, he told me so. He went hill/hill with Efren at the Normandy Casion touranment a couple months ago, but to quote him "That match wouldnt sell many videos" they both played bad, real bad considering who they are, when it was 10-10 it was Efrens break and he poped them and ran out, one of the few runouts of the 21 racks. They were just missing balls, hooks etc, it wasnt pretty-the lighting was bad. They both played terrible, even the champions dodnt play great all the time. Tang is back-dont worrie about that-you'll be hearing more about him comming soon. He is a good friend too, he is a great instructor, if your around Holliwood Billiards he is there and can and will help you with your game.

He loves this game, and is trying to learn it. We watched the Accu-Stats tape of the 1999 World Championship match between Sang Lee and Samih Sayginer yesterday. Man, those guys play good, and Blomdahl and Bob Byrne did the excellent commentary. I was impressed by the quality of the production, better than anything on ESPN!

Mostly 500 No Limit now. He used to play a lot of 40-80 live and mutiple 30-60 games online.

sadly most any production is better than ESPN.

even in other sports not just pool. they pulled a move on a boxing promoter friend of mine, they didnt pay him, i heard different amounts 500K to 1M. I know for a fact they didnt pay and its in court, we dont have the monthly fights anymore as a result of them(ESPN).

Wow, that isn't small potatoes...hope you guys sue the crap out of them and get what your owed, and more. Screw ESPN!!
