Tangent Line

In that diagram, it sure looks like the CB-3 are pointed into the pocket. Maybe the left side of the pocket, but into the pocket. Is that what you intended to show?
You are correct...my intent was to show the 3 lined up a couple inches to the right of the pocket. Thanks for the clarification. I did this several times with Chalkysticks but uploaded the wrong edition.

Right now it's lined up dead with the right facing. You can hit that one low - masse if you have to and spin it (the three) left. Mind the side pocket is all.

I shoot that shot jacked up with a little cut and a ton of right hand english ,in effect spinning it in,no foul ever.
he's talking about shooting the shot and getting the CB over to where that CB on the rail is. no way to do it without fouling. i tried it last night and its clearly not doable without foul. i double-hit it each time until i backed CB far enuff back to avoid the dh.

There’s the kinds of rules that let you jack up and get a free pass on a good hit call and then there’s not. WSR are not. If I’m watching the shot the CB better not go north of the tangent line. Maybe a little hop can occur but if they are close, there’s still a tangent line on the vertical plane meaning even a hop is most likely pulling the ball forward like an inch or so. The odds of a double hit and a scoop jump is just too likely. It’s a scenario that I’m not inclined to give the shooter the benefit of the doubt. You need to stay on or south of the tangent line or I’ll call foul every time. It’s the kind of shot that deserves the foul for even attempting it, but you should only get away with it if all evidence shows you struck it very well. That’s my take on it.
