9 ball soft break? 4 balls hitting a rail and being called unsportsmanlike foul? And actually making a ball ?
This is a case that actually didn’t happen but would like to know if there’s something written in the rules that actually makes this a unsportsmanlike foul?

Thanks as I read the rules as you so kindly supplied. I see a soft break is if fact allowed if 4 balls including the cue hit a rail and or a ball is pocketed. I was informed incorrectly by a tap league player that soft breaks were considered unsportsmanlike.
I may need to read farther down to see what constitutes unsportsmanlike conduct
Quite possibly his particular league may have additional rules
