Tape drill

Hi all!
What type of tape do you use for the tape drill? Don't want to mess my pool table up lol
Thanks!
I'd try painter's tape. It's designed to leave no residue. Test some under a cushion.

I think there may be better ways to accomplish the drill. Can you describe it?

Thanks that's what I was kind of thinking.
Just want to practice lining up and stance the tape looked like that might help

Line up a straight shot with a piece of tape with the tape all the way on the floor. Pratice walking in on shot line cue with tape. Keep stroke on line. Good to pratice lining up on shots and keeping stroke straight

All I found is something about putting tape over your tip. I gotta know what this is. For every shot, you need to put tape on the table in line with the shot, then run it all they way over the cushions onto the floor and then you walk up to the table in a line to...keep the shot in line?

You don't really need tape on the table. Use a laser line to project a line over the floor and the table, corner pocket to corner pocket. Put the tape on the floor, use reinforcement labels (the little circle stickers) to put a sticker where the cue ball goes and where an object ball goes.

Just pratice straight shots. The tape helps with aligning you on the shot line.
Sorry not really sure how to explain this lol. Red door den has some shorts on this
