hi has any tried,succeeded in installing a chuck to their unique taper shaper?
if so can, you post a pic or maybe we can talk about it threw e mail. thanks nick

hi, thanks for the reply .i am not happy with the 10th's run out with the drill chuck, so i thought maybe a chuck using a stop ring, so i don t taper the chuck.http://forums.azbilliards.com/images/icons/icon7.gif i can still use the the same system in the chuck or remove and chuck up a maintance bit and retapper butts, sherline supplies a 2.5 dia. chuck,real thin as well,

You need to talk to Jim Sickles at Unique. He can help you answer all the questions. Also there is a stop ring that Unique sells for the taper shaper. Saves quite a bit of router bits.

It shouldn't have that kind of runout. Get a 30" rod and indicate it. Move the rear until it indicates true ( it has set screws ).
